Peach Berserk Coming to Ladies Who LUNCH Ottawa

Fashion and textile designer Kingi Carpenter prepares to come to Ottawa April 13-14. She is coming to the power luncheon of Ottawa business owners held by Catherine Landry; Ladies Who Lunch Ottawa.

Landry is a power connector and has been holding fantastic networking events for over a decade in the Ottawa area. For her Ladies Who Lunch event she has a fast growing very active Facebook group so all her events sell out in record time.

Catherine supports local business owners through word of mouth relationship building. Kingi Carpenter who has quite a good customer base in the Ottawa area has certainly been served well by Catherine's great energy and PR work.

Kingi is coming as a featured vendor to April 14th Ladies How Lunch Ottawa event and will be sharing some of her spring and prom fashions. I commented that it would be great for her to hold one of her famous silk screening workshops while she was here and within 24 hours Catherine Landry had it all organised and ready to go.

Kingi will be offering a 6  hour workshop Sunday April 13 from 12-6 at Flowers Talk flower design shop on Wellington. There are only a few places available so if you are excited and interested in participating it is important to contact Kingi now.

She will be covering the entire process of designing, making a screen and transferring the image to the screen, inks, tools, supplies and all that you need to be able to get up and running the next day. Whether you want to come for fun, to make your own garments, or to print T-shirts for business or fundraising, you will leave with the knowledge and understanding to get going.

If you cannot make the workshop you can find her at the NCA Ladies Who Lunch event and see what she has brought to Ottawa to show. There are a few shops around town that carry her work or you can visit her website at Peach Berserk. All her pieces are one of a kind and can be custom made to you. Kingi is an energetic, versatile creative who makes fashion fun for those who want it that way.

Sales Tips With Lisa Larter | The Sales Pilot

Learn about accelerating your business growth by putting in the right sales strategies to meet your business goals with +Lisa Larter

Last Spring Lisa launched The Pilot Project to help entrepreneurs get her teachings on the foundations of building a business at an easy to access price point. It was a great success. In response to her students, she has created a session on content creation (The Content Pilot) and is now creating one on Sales (The Sales Pilot)

Lisa started selling since she was a young girl to be able to purchase things she wanted beyond the abilities of her family. She then went on to a very successful career in retail and then business ownership. In a few short years, she went to build her Telus store into revenues of over a million.

Lisa was an early adopter of new technology as she sought out ways to get a better ROI for her advertising dollars for her store and has since expanded into being an international social media marketing consultant, speaker and author. She brings her expertise in retail sales and business building to all the clients she takes on and many have gone on to win awards in their sectors from the increased sales success they have developed working under Lisa's guidance.

Sales is about rapport building so that you can better serve those that are your potential customer. Serving is about helping them make a decision to buy or not, depending on their wants and need.

Being good at sales, is a skill set that can be learned through practice and good mentorship.
